Field Terminations

MF Lightwave technicians perform onsite factory quality field terminations for all standard connector types. All terminations are tested for compliance with Telcordia standards.  FQ Field terminations can be performed on all inside and outside plant cables, and allow for a true zero slack storage installation. Whether you are expanding your network, cleaning up cable congestion,  or replacing legacy connectors, MFL’s  field terminations provide a single source quality solution.

Factory Quality (FQ) Field Terminations

  • Epoxy/Polish SC, LC, FC, Ultra Polish and Angle Polish Field Terminations
  • Zero slack storage installation
  • Legacy connector swap-outs for CO upgrades or maintenance
  • Completing “hot swaps” for damaged or legacy connections such as biconics or D4.
  • Data Center or central office “Clean Up” to eliminate service loops
  • Simplex, duplex, or multi fiber cable “build outs” and upjacketing

Fusion Splicing

Our fiber optics professionals have extensive experience in fusion splicing OSP and ISP cabling. We specialize in fusion splicing of high-power large-mode-area optical fibers (LMA optical fiber) and we stand behind our optical products and our services. We utilize high quality products, provide detailed component quality inspection, ensure all cabling is properly managed, and deliver test results for verification.

A fusion splice, performed by our highly qualified and experienced optical professionals, normally yields the lowest light loss and meets signal loss threshold of less than 0.1dB.
